919-803-4000 Position Overview As a Private Duty Nurse, you will provide skilled, individualized nursing care in the patient's home setting. This role focuses on delivering high-quality, attentive care while promoting comfort, safety, and improved health outcomes. Responsibilities Deliver comprehensive patient care by assessing needs, administering treatments, and monitoring vital signs with precision and empathy Maintain thorough medical documentation, ensuring all records are accurate, complete, and compliant with HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) regulations Apply your knowledge of physiology and anatomy to assist in patient diagnosis and treatment planning Communicate clearly using medical terminology to collaborate effectively with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals Manage medical records diligently, updating charts and reports to reflect current patient status and treatment progress Educate patients on health management, medication usage, and post-treatment care instructions to promote recovery and well-being Uphold strict confidentiality standards in accordance with HIPAA guidelines while handling sensitive patient information Qualifications Proven experience in nursing or a related healthcare setting demonstrating strong patient care skills Solid understanding of physiology and anatomy to support accurate assessments and interventions Familiarity with medical terminology and documentation practices essential for effective communication and record keeping Knowledge of healthcare regulations including HIPAA compliance to ensure privacy and security of patient data Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments while maintaining attention to detail and compassion for patients Why Join FCPDN?
