Job Description

Where You'll Work CHI St. Alexius Health Dickinson, part of CommonSpirit Heath, a national nonprofit health system based in Englewood, Colorado. The faith-based system operates in 18 states and includes 103 hospitals. Additional services offered within the system are: long-term care, assisted and residential living communities, community health services organizations, home health agencies, and numerous outpatient facilities. Job Summary and Responsibilities As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you will provide compassionate nursing care to our residents, under the direction of a physician or Registered Nurse. Every day, you will assess resident needs and deliver essential physical or psychosocial care. To be successful in this role, you will exhibit genuine compassion for patient well-being, an understanding of your critical role in ensuring their comfort, and the patience to explain procedures, answer questions, and maintain accurate documentation. Interviews patients and records their medical history Obtains and documents patient vital signs; reports abnormal findings promptly Administers and documents administration of treatments and medications within scope of practice; may administer oral, topical, and suppository medications; administer injections, infusions, and blood transfusions; start IVs Verifies that patient charts are updated promptly and accurately Observes and records patients' conditions and reactions to medications and treatments Serves as a liaison between physician and patient; shares information and reinforces education and instructions provided by the care provider Job Requirements Required Completion of an accredited LPN program and
Licensed Practical Nurse:
ND, upon hire and Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire Preferred 1 year of experience
