What you'll do: Prepare, administer, and document medications, tests, and treatments Record time spent performing individual treatments, in accordance with ancillary services policy, on the medication/treatment record Ensure proper storage and security of prescription drugs and biologicals in accordance with facility policies and procedures Notify the physician of refusal of medication/treatments, non-compliance with a treatment plan, and resident response to medication regime with prompt notification to the physician of any adverse reactions Keep medication cart, refrigerator, and room neat, clean, and the medication stored properly Ensures the correct disposal of all sharps Key information into computer systems including EMR Practice, implement, and supervise Infection Control, Universal Precaution, and safety policies and procedures React appropriately to emergency and disaster situations Other duties as necessary and assigned What we offer: Competitive hourly paybased on experience 401(k) with company match Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance options Generouspaidtime off(PTO) Up to $500 per month in nursingschooltuition reimbursement What we're looking for: Graduate from an accredited school of nursing Current, active license as an LPN Experience in long term geriatric nursing care, preferred Current CPR Certification Must be able to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical information in the English language Must be easily understood through verbal communication in the English language Must be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measurement and weight measurement Must have empathy along with exceptional communication and customer service skills Physical Requirements and Environmental Conditions Exposure to body fluids and communicable diseases Full range of body motion including handling and lifting patients Ability to lift/push/pull 50-100 lbs. unassisted Ability to stand for long periods of time Must be able to see and hear or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately to ensure that the requirements of this position can be fully met Why us: Our nurses care for a geriatric population that depends on consistent, knowledgeable, and compassionate care.
