Licensed Practical Nurse - Occupational Medicine - Methodist Physicians Clinic

Nebraska Methodist Health System is seeking a dedicated part-time LPN for the Fremont Urgent Care Methodist Physicans clinic . You will assist providers by reviewing records, preparing patients/exam rooms, providing patient education, scheduling, and handling prescription renewals/inquiries. Job Duties & Responsibilities:

Provide comprehensive occupational health nursing care, including post-offer physicals, drug and alcohol screenings, blood draws, injury assessments, and workers' compensation support while ensuring compliance with department policies and protocols. Perform DOT-regulated drug and alcohol testing, maintain certifications, complete chain-of-custody documentation accurately, and communicate results to appropriate parties. Manage follow-up care for workplace exposures and injuries by assessing risks, counseling clients, coordinating lab result communication, and collaborating with providers and case managers. Promote workplace safety and injury prevention through employee education, incident reporting, risk reduction initiatives, and proactive communication of safety concerns. Deliver excellent customer service by scheduling appointments, preparing and processing medical documentation, maintaining accurate records, assisting clients professionally, and ensuring compliance with confidentiality requirements. Support employee wellness and department operations by coordinating flu and vaccine clinics, providing health screenings and education, assisting with community outreach programs, maintaining records, learning new skills, and participating in team projects and training initiatives.

Wednesday Salary:

Pay starts at $22.00 an hour and may increase based on work history/experience.

Job Requirements:

Degree in nursing required. 2 years of medical/surgical experience required. 1 year occupational health, emergency room, clinic, or school nursing experience strongly preferred. Knowledge of Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations and Workers Compensation laws strongly preferred. Current valid License Practical Nurse (LPN) license, valid compact multi-state license, or a temporary permit while awaiting licensure required. Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) strongly preferred at time of hire, required within 3 months of hire. Department of Transportation (DOT) Urine Specimen Collector Certification preferred. Breath Alcohol Technician Certification preferred
