Job Description
Position Overview This position is located in Columbus, NE at Columbus Community Hospital. This full-time position (40 hours per week, 5 days per week) is an integral member of the clinical care team, working closely with surgeons and GI specialists to provide high-quality patient care in an outpatient clinic setting. Key Responsibilities Perform patient triage and clinical assessments Assist with in-office minor procedures Educate patients and family members on treatment plans, as well as pre-operative and post-operative care instructions Support referral management, appointment scheduling, and coordination of care Obtain prior authorizations and manage pre-certifications with insurance carriers for surgeries, diagnostic testing, and procedures Coordinate care across departments and effectively utilize available resources Qualifications Self-motivated with a positive attitude and strong organizational skills Excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team Current Nebraska RN or LPN license required Current CPR certification required Previous experience in an outpatient clinic setting or specialty nursing experience preferred
