Job Requirements and Properties Work Onsite Full Time Schedule Full Time Job Description . Cottage Hospital is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Medical Surgical team. In this role, you will work alongside RNs and other clinical staff to support patient care, monitor conditions, and contribute to a safe and efficient care environment. Responsibilities include assisting with the planning, delivery, and evaluation of patient care within your scope of practice. You will observe and document patient status, recognize changes in condition, and communicate updates to the care team. The role also involves supporting patients with basic care needs, prioritizing tasks effectively, and maintaining a clean and secure unit. You will help identify patient needs, contribute to care planning, and support both physical and psychosocial aspects of care. Strong communication with patients, families, and team members is essential, along with maintaining professionalism and confidentiality. This position requires adherence to hospital policies and procedures, participation in maintaining cost-effective care, and flexibility to support department needs. This is a strong opportunity for an LPN who values teamwork, organization, and providing consistent, patient-focused care. Per diem openings require a 2 shift per month commitment.
