Job Description

Category Schools - LPN Nurse Job Type Contract Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity as an LPN, providing vital support to a medically intensive student for the upcoming 26/27 school year. This part-time position offers 20 hours per week within a year-round educational program near Nashua, NH. Play a key role in creating a safer and more inclusive educational journey for a student with mobility challenges as you accompany them to out-of-district schools.
Key Qualifications and Experience Sought:
Active and unencumbered LPN/LVN license in New Hampshire (or eligible for licensure) Previous experience in pediatric, school, or medically intensive settings preferred Knowledge and skill in managing mobility issues and specialized medical needs Compassionate, patient-focused, and able to build rapport with students and their families Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team Valid driver's license and comfort riding with students in school transportation vehicles
Role Responsibilities:
Accompany and monitor the student during transportation to and from out-of-district schools Administer medications, treatments, and interventions according to care plans Respond effectively to medical emergencies and ensure the student's safety at all times Assist with mobility challenges, transfers, and the use of adaptive equipment as needed Document care, maintain medical records, and communicate relevant updates to staff and parents Foster a nurturing and supportive environment while upholding privacy and dignity This is an excellent chance to make a direct and meaningful impact while working part-time in a unique school setting.
