LPN PER DIEM ALL 3 SHIFTS

Turning Point is recruiting for LPN Per Diem All Shifts that will assist the Registered Nurse in the delivery of care to all clients. Our team at Turning Point is dedicated to helping our patients turn their lives around. In this position, the selected candidates will assess and coordinate the delivery of care to all clients. Weekend rotation work will be required of this role.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS INCLUDE

1. Maintain nursing practice standards and protocols for sub-acute detox and residential service 2.

Perform nursing tasks as indicated:

medication administration, physicians' orders, lab work, PPD administration etc. 3. Refer to community based medical care as needed 4. Coordinate client's treatment and length of stay with Registered Nurse and Detox counselor's 5. Educate clients to Detox and Residential protocols and medication regime 6. Provide individualized client education regarding health issues 7. Assist MD and schedule appointments as necessary 8. Ability to work with co-occurring clients 9. Provide discharge instruction and follow-up for all client's 10. Assist in the orientation and training of new Nursing personnel 11. Audit active and closed carts to assure compliance with documentation standards as directed by the Director of Nursing Participate in committee's as appointed 12. Attend departmental staff meeting 13. Reports all pertinent information to DON 14. Perform all other duties assigned under the supervision of the Registered Nurse.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Licensed in the state of New Jersey as a Licensed Practical Nurse Knowledge of chemical dependence and 12 Step programs Computer proficiency Possess a valid NJ Driver's License Must possess CPR certification. Turning Point is an EO employer - Veterans/Disabled and other protected categories.
