Job Description

Ref #: C-LPN- Join our team in Albuquerque, NM as a Licensed Practical Nurse for a 13-week contract (non-travel) starting ASAP. This position follows a consistent schedule: Monday-Wednesday, 06:00 AM-06:30 PM.
Local rate:
$914 per 36-hour week.
Requirements:
Active, valid LPN license for the state of New Mexico Current BLS certification Key responsibilities: Provide direct patient care under RN or physician direction, including medication administration, wound care, IV therapy, catheter care, and vital sign monitoring. Perform focused patient assessments (physical exam, history, medication review) and contribute to individualized care plans. Administer and monitor prescribed medications and treatments, ensuring accurate dosing and adherence to protocols. Assess, clean, dress, and monitor wounds and surgical sites for signs of infection or complications. Collect specimens (blood, urine, sputum) and document findings and interventions in patient records. Educate patients and families on diagnoses, medications, self-care, and preventive health measures. Assist with mobility, positioning, pain management, and other comfort and safety needs. Respond to emergencies and provide basic life support according to facility policies. Follow infection control practices, proper PPE use, and safe handling/disposal of medications and supplies. Collaborate with RNs, physicians, therapists, and support staff to ensure coordinated care. May supervise CNAs or unlicensed assistive personnel as assigned. Maintain current knowledge of nursing best practices through ongoing education. Perform other duties as assigned by management.
