Contract (Non-Travel) LPN position in Bloomfield, NM — Start ASAP for a 6-week assignment.
Schedule:
Tue-Thu, 5:00 PM-5:30 AM.
Local rate:
$1,145 per 36-hour week. Required credentials Active, valid Licensed Practical Nurse state license Current BLS certification Core responsibilities Provide direct bedside nursing under RN/physician direction: medication administration, wound care, IV management, catheter care, and vital sign monitoring. Perform focused patient assessments (physical exam, history, medication review) and contribute to individualized care planning. Administer prescribed medications and treatments accurately; monitor for effectiveness and adverse effects. Assess, clean, dress, and document wounds and incisions; monitor for infection or complications. Insert, maintain and monitor IV lines; collect specimens (blood, urine, sputum) for lab testing. Maintain accurate, timely patient documentation of condition changes, treatments, and medication administration. Educate patients and families on conditions, medications, self-care, and preventive health measures. Assist with mobility, positioning, comfort, pain management, and basic activities of daily living. Respond to emergencies using established protocols and provide basic life support as needed. Follow strict infection control practices and safe medication/supply handling and disposal. Collaborate with RNs, physicians, therapists, CNAs/UAPs and other team members to coordinate care; may supervise CNAs/UAPs as appropriate. Advocate for patient rights and needs and participate in continuing education to maintain best-practice skills. Perform other duties as assigned by management.
