45.08 We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team for night shift travel assignments. This role offers an exciting opportunity to provide high-quality patient care across diverse healthcare settings, including hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and community clinics. The ideal candidate will possess a strong clinical background, excellent assessment skills, and a passion for delivering compassionate care to individuals with varying needs. As a Travel LPN, you will play a vital role in supporting patient recovery and well-being while enjoying the flexibility of travel nursing. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and health history documentation using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner. Administer medications, injections, IV infusions, and other treatments following established protocols and HIPAA regulations to ensure patient safety. Assist with complex procedures such as catheterization, wound care, tube feeding, and ventilator management in acute care environments like ICU or Level I Trauma Centers. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients with conditions such as dementia, Alzheimer's disease, infectious diseases, or post-acute recovery needs. Monitor patients' physiological responses during treatment and provide emergency interventions when necessary, including airway management and acute pain control. Maintain accurate medical documentation of patient care activities, medication administration, and clinical observations in compliance with healthcare standards. Support discharge planning and patient education initiatives to promote ongoing health management in outpatient or home care settings. Skills Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or Athenahealth for documentation and patient record management. Critical care experience in settings like ICU or Level II Trauma Centers is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, ICD coding (ICD-9/10), and diagnostic evaluation techniques. Experience working with diverse populations including pediatrics, geriatrics, individuals with disabilities or developmental disorders, and those requiring dementia or memory care. Skilled in performing venipuncture (phlebotomy), injection administration, sterile technique, and specimen collection/processing. Familiarity with advanced nursing procedures such as spinal taps, dialysis support, or post-operative care is advantageous. Excellent patient assessment skills combined with compassionate communication to support patient comfort and understanding during treatment.
