Delivers direct patient care in a fast-paced Med/Surg or ICU environment, applying essential nursing skills and evidence-based standards under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Varied Days and Hours (United States of America)Responsibilities:
Operates within the Licensed Practical Nursing scope of practice to deliver direct patient care, including administering prescribed medications (including IV/parenteral therapies), treatments, and assisting with procedures while documenting patient needs, interventions, and responses. Contributes to patient assessment, monitors changes in condition, and reports findings to the registered nurse and provider. Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to ensure timely, efficient, and patient-centered care, supporting optimal patient flow and care coordination. Documents patient status, care delivery, and follow-up accurately in the electronic health record. Provides education to patients and families under the direction of the RN/provider to support understanding and recovery. Promotes a compassionate, therapeutic environment by applying principles of respectful communication, comfort, and healing. Adheres to established policies, procedures, safety standards, and patient confidentiality requirements, while utilizing patient safety tools and technologies. Participates in quality improvement initiatives, supports efficient care delivery, and contributes to cost-effective practices. Maintains required certifications, completes ongoing education and competencies, and stays current with clinical best practices. Demonstrates professionalism through reliable attendance, positive teamwork, effective communication, and alignment with organizational mission and values. Current Mexico Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license Experience / Certifications BLS certification required PDS IV training completed during orientation Basic Cardiac Arrhythmia (BCA) certification required for telemetry areas ACLS certification required within 6 months of hire for applicable areas We're all about well-being, starting with yours.
