JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE
Assists practitioner in performance of procedures, telephone prescription orders/refills, maintaining patient record and relaying test results. Provides safe and quality nursing care under the direction of SHS practitioners and the Clinic Supervisor within scope of practice.
DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION
SHS Urology Teams diagnose and treat urological conditions in men and women including but not limited to surgical treatment of cancers (prostate, bladder, kidney and testicular) treatment of prostate disorders, kidney stone removal, vasectomy and incontinence.
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS
1. Current unencumbered Oregon Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) licensure required. 2. Healthcare Provider Level BLS required upon hire. 3. Previous experience in a clinical setting preferred. 4. Lab/EKG experience preferred.

  • Knowledge of medical records, procedures and terminology. Ability to read, interpret, and apply policies, procedures, laws, and regulations. 6. Social Perceptiveness
  • Ability to work with a diverse population from pediatrics to geriatrics.
Basic understanding of age-related differences in caring for and/or communicating with patients and caregivers. Possess personal sensitivity to the needs and experiences of others and a non-judgmental attitude towards persons of differing standards, values, lifestyles, and ages.
