Duties Description Capital District Psychiatric Center (CDPC), an Office of Mental Health Joint Commission Accredited hospital is recruiting a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for their Community Residence. Candidates from outside or within State Service can apply. The LPN with CDPCs Community Residence with provide companionate care and patient-centered and recovery-focused mental health services to individuals with severe and persistent mental illness, including: Performing oversight of medical needs Coordinating care with psychiatric and medical providers Ordering medication Administering medication and teaching medication independence skills The minimum qualifications required for this vacancy. Minimum Qualifications Candidates from outside or within State Service can be considered for hire under the Hiring for Emergency Limited Placement - Statewide (NY HELPS) program as a Licensed Practical Nurse if they have: License and current registration to practice as a practical nurse in New York State; or Limited Permit to practice as a practical nurse in New York State; or Application on file for a Limited Permit to practice as a practical nurse in New York State. OR Candidates within State Service can be considered for transfer to a competitive class position if they have one year of permanent competitive or 55-b/55-c service in a title eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law.
