  • Headache Clinic As a Clinical LPN, you will be part of an experienced and professional team supporting our patients and providers in the at the main DENT Tower location in Amherst, NY who specialize in Headache, Migraine, Concussion and Neuro-Oncology.
Responsibilities :
Coordinates and participates in a variety of patient care activities in the examination and treatment of patients to include: vital signs, blood draws (if qualified), medication administration, mini-mental assessments, assisting with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, using standard equipment; records data for medical records as directed by the provider. Determine, prepare and set-up medical supplies, instruments and equipment for diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. Contributes to patient care through patient and family education, distributing recourse literature and community service recommendations and referrals as needed, Complies with quality assurance, HIPAA, customer focus, infection control and safety regulations per the facility policy procedures and NYS regulations Confers with the patient to obtain accurate information for records, explains procedures;' ensure completion of chart information prior to examination by provider. Prepare e-prescriptions for provider's evaluation and completion/transmittal. Assists in completion of insurance/compensation/disability/prior authorization forms. Accurate documentation in chart/EMR after each patient encounter Maintain work area in clean and orderly condition; set up, clean and disinfect examination rooms; monitor and ensure appropriate inventory of medical supplies in examination rooms; replenish as required May be required to assist with bio-hazard cleanup (i.e. restroom, waiting area, exam room following universal precautions/kits) Support patient care with an emphasis on patient response; maintains liaison with physicians and practice administration to ensure efficient and effective patient care services. Coordinates scheduling with medical secretary. Represents the Dent by displaying a respectful and caring manner with patients and their families. Independently problem solves and utilizes resources to solve complicated matters. Maintains confidentiality of patient information. Interacts calmly, respectfully and in a friendly manner with other representatives of services at the Dent. Refers patients to proper resources for Dent policies such as billing and or financial support. Assists in clerical duties as needed, functioning as a member of the health care team Escort and/or transport patients to the examination room and other clinic locations, if necessary Document accurately in char/EMR after each patient encounter. Maintains competence through continuing education and in-service training. Performs other duties as assigned or requested.
Compensation :
