Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Reports to:Physician/Office Manager FLSA Status:
Non-Exempt Position Summary:
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) has duties and responsibilities related to patient care. The individual displays responsible behaviors, communicates effectively to others and functions as a member of the healthcare team. The LPN functions under the direct supervision and authority of the physician and/or mid-level provider when performing clinical tasks during patient care. The LPN must demonstrate competency in all skills related to the performance of patient care.Primary Job Responsibilities:
- Provides extraordinary customer service and professionalism to all internal and external customers (including patients and other team members)
- Obtain patient history; assess patient, measure vital signs, and record information in chart
- Prepare exam rooms, including maintenance, sterilization of equipment, and stocking of supplies.
- Assist provider with any procedures per NYS regulations and licensure requirements.
- Perform CLIA-waived lab tests; label and process specimens for send-out.
- Perform quality checks on medical equipment.
- Exceed patient expectations and deliver compassionate and quality care.
- Exercise tact and diplomacy in dealing with sensitive, complex and confidential patient issues and situations.
- Contribute effectively to the accomplishment of the practice goals, objectives and activities.
- Ensures clinical and quality standards of the practice are consistently met
- Collaborates with team members to ensure quality and consistency of care
- Monitors physicians' activities and assist with their needs.
- Maintains clinical and quality control logs, including diagnostic tracking.
- Coordinates the distribution of lab specimens.
- Ensures all related reports, labs and information are available in patients' medical records prior to their appointment.
- Performs other tasks as needed as assigned by operational leadership.

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required. Graduate of accredited program for Licensed Practical Nursing
- Active LPN NYS License
- Working knowledge of medical terminology
- Compassion and empathy for our patients and their family members
- Ability to effectively collaborate with team members, including doctors, nurses, front desk staff, center managers, and market leaders
- Mindset focused on solving problems for patients and achieving team goals
- Skilled in operating phones, personal computer, software and other IT systems.
- Skilled in taking patients' vital signs and obtaining samples for laboratory work
- Ability to pay close attention to detail and to ensure accuracy of reports and data
- Ability to maintain effective and organized systems to ensure timely patient flow
- Ability to be calm and flexible in busy or stressful situations
- Ability to work in a fast paced, customer service oriented environment
- Ability to maintain strictest confidentiality
Pay:
$22.00 - $25.00 per hourBenefits:
