Travel Assignment | Temp-to-Hire Opportunity Position Overview A healthcare facility in Rochester, New York is seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a 13-week assignment in a Medical Surgical / GI Overflow unit. This role supports a flexible overflow environment that manages Emergency Department boarder patients as well as Med/Surg and telemetry patients. The ideal candidate will be highly skilled in Med/Surg care, adaptable to fast-paced clinical settings, and committed to delivering safe, high-quality patient care across fluctuating patient needs. Key Responsibilities Provide direct patient care in a Medical Surgical / Telemetry overflow setting Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions, including vital signs Assist with blood glucose monitoring and oxygen therapy administration Perform and manage care for NG tubes, G-tubes, and feeding tubes Provide Foley catheter insertion and ongoing catheter care Administer medications via oral, IM, SQ, and other prescribed routes Support patient admissions, transfers, and discharge processes Communicate patient status changes to RN and physician teams promptly Follow all infection control and isolation precautions Assist patients with ADLs including ambulation, hygiene, and feeding Float to other Med/Surg units as required based on staffing needs Required Qualifications Active LPN/LVN license Minimum 1 year of clinical nursing experience Active BLS certification
EPIC EMR
