Job Description

J Elmsford Day Camp is seeking a dedicated Medical Director to oversee the health and wellness needs of campers and staff during our 2026 summer camp season. This position is ideal for a healthcare professional who enjoys working with children and helping create a safe, positive camp environment.
Responsibilities include:
Overseeing daily camp medical operations Managing camper and staff health records Treating minor illnesses and injuries Administering medications and maintaining proper documentation Following Board of Health protocols and safety standards Communicating with parents, campers, and staff regarding medical concerns Supporting emergency preparedness and response procedures
Qualifications:
Must be certified/licensed as an EMT, Paramedic, LPN, RN, or NP Experience working with children, camps, schools, or recreational programs preferred Strong communication, organization, and decision-making skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Camp Dates:
June 29 - August 7, 2026
No Camp:
July 3, 2026 Compensation is based on experience and credentials. Join us in helping create a safe, fun, and memorable summer for our campers!
Job Type:
Temporary Pay:
$3,500.00 - $5,000.00 per month
