  • Part-time Overview Spectrum Skin and Laser is a growing medical, surgical, and aesthetics dermatology practice dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care and advanced treatments.
We are seeking an experienced, highly organized LPN with dermatology experience to join our growing practice in Purchase, NY. This is an important clinical role within the organization, supporting physicians and helping ensure the highest level of patient care and clinical efficiency across the practice. The LPN will work closely with physicians and the clinical team to support dermatology visits, procedures (including Mohs Surgery), and patient care operations. The ideal candidate is professional, reliable, and detail-oriented, with prior dermatology experience and a strong commitment to patient care and clinical excellence. This is an exciting opportunity for a LPN who enjoys working in a fast-paced specialty practice and wants to contribute to a high-performing and professional clinical environment within a growing dermatology and aesthetics practice. Key Responsibilities General Dermatology & Administrative Responsibilities Rooming patients, obtaining vital signs, updating medical history, and documenting in the EMR (ModMed) Preparing exam rooms, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring adequate supply levels Assisting providers with medical and cosmetic dermatology procedures (Mohs surgery, biopsies, excisions, cryotherapy, injections, etc.) Administering prescribed treatments and performing dressing changes Providing patient education on diagnoses, medications, wound care, and treatment plans Managing phone triage and patient inquiries under provider supervision Administering medications as ordered, including local anesthetics Handling and disposing of sharps and biohazard materials safely Maintaining accurate logs (medication logs, specimen logs, inventory as required) Perform other tasks and responsibilities as directed by your supervisor or management. These duties may evolve based on patient needs, hospital/clinic requirements, or regulatory changes.
Surgical Responsibilities:
Preparing the surgical suite and assisting the surgeon during procedures Administering anesthesia as delegated by the surgeon Assisting with tissue handling, labeling, and transfer to laboratory personnel Providing intraoperative patient care and maintaining sterile technique Performing wound care, including bandaging, suture removal, and post-operative instructions Monitoring patients during and after surgical procedures Documenting surgical notes, specimen information, and post-op care in the EMR Assisting with surgical instrumentation setup, sterilization, and room turnover Supporting reconstructive procedures as directed by the surgeon
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have Two years experience working as a nurse At least 1 year working in dermatology Knowledge of the EMR ModMed (aka EMA) is strongly preferred Why Join Spectrum Skin and Laser?
