Job Summary:
As a Long Term Care (LTC) Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you will be responsible for providing quality nursing care to residents in a long-term care facility. You will work closely with other healthcare professionals to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the care of residents.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Administer medication and treatments as prescribed by physicians 2. Monitor residents' vital signs and update their medical records 3. Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and eating 4. Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop individualized care plans for residents 5. Educate residents and their families on self-care techniques and preventive healthcare measures 6. Provide emotional support and companionship to residents 7. Ensure the safety and cleanliness of residents' living quarters 8. Adhere to all nursing standards and protocols 9. Participate in staff meetings and training sessions 10. Maintain confidentiality of resident information
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Valid LPN license 2. Minimum of 1 year of experience in long-term care setting 3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills 4. Ability to work independently and as part of a team 5. Compassionate and patient-centered care approach 6. Basic computer skills 7. CPR certification 8.
