5 FTEs Facility Type Federal VA Medical Center Nursing Home Care Unit (Long-Term Care) Adult Psychiatric Unit Medical and Geriatric Care Setting Required Qualifications License Active, unrestricted LPN license in any U.S. State, D.C., Puerto Rico, or U.S. Territory Must be in good standing with no restrictions Certification Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS/CPR Certification Education Graduate of an approved Practical Nursing/Vocational Nursing Program Required Skills & Experience Experience caring for: Adult Psychiatric Patients Medical Patients Geriatric Patients Long-Term Care/Nursing Home Residents Ability to administer and document: Oral medications Topical medications Subcutaneous injections Intramuscular (IM) injections IV medications (as permitted) Strong assessment and documentation skillsCPRS/VISTA
experience preferred Fluent English communication skills Responsibilities Provide nursing care in the Intermediate/Medical Nursing Home Care Unit and Psychiatric Units Administer medications and document treatments accurately Monitor patient conditions and communicate changes to the RN or physician Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across: Ambulatory Care Critical Care Nursing Home Care Emergency Department Work independently under Nurse Manager supervision Complete all mandatory VA onboarding and annual training requirements Credentialing & Onboarding Estimated onboarding: 8-10 weeks Mandatory VA Talent Management System (TMS) training required before start Training is non-billable/non-paidPay:
