Loyal Source Government Services is looking for 5 full-time Licensed Practical Nurses to provide healthcare services at VA Hudson Valley Healthcare System.

Job Summary:

Licensed Practical Nurses must provide professional medical services and quality care to our Veteran population. Located at the VA Hudson Valley Healthcare System. Licensed Practical Nurses are required to deliver high-quality, compassionate, and consistent care to individuals.

Duties:

Will provide skilled nursing care to patients in the Intermediate/Medical Nursing Home Care Unit and Psychiatric patients. May perform procedures approved for the Medical Center staff as outlined in the Licensed Practical Nurse Act and Vocation Nurse VA Qualification Standards. Demonstrates increasing autonomy in patient care management and possesses competence in caring for adult psychiatric, medical, and geriatric patients. Under supervision of the Nurse Manager, the LPN will collaborate with other healthcare professionals as needed across various units, including ambulatory care, critical care, nursing home, and the Emergency Room throughout the Montrose and Castle Point VA Medical Centers Ability to operate both independently and under guidance and supervision from the Nurse Manager or their designee. Possess the knowledge and skills necessary to prepare, administer, and accurately document commonly prescribed oral, topical, subcutaneous, intramuscular, and/or intravenous medications in accordance with approved local facility policies and procedures. Observation and documentation will include the patient's response to administered medications and any observed changes in the patient's condition, which will be reported to the RN or physician. Demonstrates the ability to work responsibly as part of the nursing team and interact professionally with patients, family members, and other healthcare personnel involved in patient care, while adhering to established customer service standards.

Qualifications:

Must be a graduate of a state-approved school of practical or vocational nursing. All LPNs assigned to HVHCS must hold an active, current licensure as a professional nurse in the state, District of Columbia, Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a U.S. territory. A current CPR/BLS certificate by the American Heart Association is required. A minimum of one (1) years of direct patient care experience. Contractor personnel shall be a citizen of the
