LPN Geriatrics Full Job Description Licensed Practical Nurse Job Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our dedicated team at Sprain Brook Manor in Scarsdale, New York. As a LPN, you will provide high-quality healthcare to our residents, including assessment and treatment of common health problems, while also supervising and coordinating the unit's health care team and services. If you're a new grad or have limited permit experience, we encourage you to apply!

Responsibilities:

Provide direct care to residents, including administering medications, wound care, and vital signs Assess and treat common acute and chronic health problems in accordance with current standards of nursing practice Supervise, coordinate, and evaluate the unit's healthcare team and services Provide leadership and guidance to subordinate personnel Maintain accurate and detailed records of resident care Participate in quality assurance and quality improvement initiatives Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic care for our residents

Requirements:

Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of New York Graduate of an approved NLN accredited nursing program or State Approved Vocational Program Ability to provide leadership and supervision to subordinate personnel Genuine interest in gerontology and understanding of the special needs of the geriatric elder Successful completion of pre-employment health screening and background check CPR certification
