  • $53 blended hourly rate Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide nursing care in a fast-paced Emergency Department setting.
This role involves supporting pediatric patient care while working collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure safe and efficient patient care delivery. The ideal candidate will have Emergency Department experience, strong clinical skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal orientation and supervision. Responsibilities Provide direct patient care in an acute care Emergency Department setting Greet and prepare patients for examinations and procedures Take and accurately record patient vital signs and medical information Assist with routine clinical procedures including: IV placement Phlebotomy Injections Observe and report patient responses to treatments and interventions Assist providers and nursing staff with patient care activities Maintain exam rooms, supplies, and clinical areas to ensure readiness and cleanliness Perform basic administrative and office support duties as needed Assist with insurance authorization processes when required Maintain accurate patient documentation within Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members Adhere to infection prevention, safety, and nursing care standards Required Qualifications Current New York State LPN license required Current CPR certification required Minimum one (1) year of LPN experience required Emergency Department experience required Must be proficient in IV placement and phlebotomy Strong interpersonal and communication skills required Ability to work independently in a fast-paced clinical environment Preferred Qualifications Prior inpatient hospital experience preferred Experience using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) strongly preferred Additional Information Every other weekend and some holiday coverage required Pediatric patient care experience preferred For more details reach at or Call / Text at 516-587-6677.
