Essential Key Duties and Responsibilities :
Licensed Practical Nurse in State of Ohio and or Ohio Registered Nurse Licensure Provides general nursing care to residents in a nursing facility. Explains procedures and treatments to residents to gain cooperation, understanding, and to prevent apprehension. Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques. Prepares equipment and aids Physician during treatment and examination of residents while maintaining awareness of safety and comfort. Maintains awareness of comfort and safety needs of resident. Supervise the nursing practices in the facility directed toward restoring and maintaining the residents capabilities at maximum mental and physical level. Observes residents, records significant conditions and reactions and notifies Physician or Supervisor of resident's condition and reaction to medications, treatments and significant incidents after assessing the condition of the patient. Documents nursing history and physical assessment for assigned residents Use of Point, Click, Care for electronic documentation. High level of organization, communication, and clinical skills needed to perform the job successfully in addition to demonstrating the required core competencies. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company policies. Responsibilities include planning, assigning, and directing work, addressing complaints and resolving problems. Supervises STNA's and unlicensed caregivers.
