Located near Columbus, OH, this contract opportunity allows you to truly make a difference in the school community. If you are passionate about pediatric care and working closely with Special Education programs, this role offers the chance to create a meaningful impact each day. This position is designed for an LPN to oversee student health needs and to provide consistent care throughout the school day, with an anticipated schedule of approximately 11:30 AM to 2:50 PM. Schedule will be confirmed with final details, including any bus route responsibilities. Desired Skills and Experience Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) credentials in Ohio Prior experience in a school setting or with children preferred Familiarity with individualized education plans (IEPs) or working with students with special needs is a plus Strong adaptability, reliability, and communication skills Ability to collaborate with educators, parents, and school health staff Key Responsibilities Provide direct care as outlined in students' health and safety plans Administer medications and necessary treatments during the school day Monitor student health status and respond to medical concerns promptly Support the Special Education Coordinator in ensuring each student's needs are met Document all care in accordance with school and state requirements May assist with student transportation routines pending schedule confirmation This role is perfect for someone seeking consistent daytime hours and the fulfillment of caring for children in a supportive educational environment.
