This contract position is ideal for an LPN/LVN eager to make a positive difference in the lives of children. You'll play a vital role in creating a safe environment while collaborating closely with school staff, students, and families. This assignment focuses on a unique school nursing need within the Columbus, OH area. Your workday will align with a student's school and bus schedule, tentatively anticipated as 11:30 AM to 2:50 PM (subject to final confirmation). This part-time schedule offers approximately 3.5 hours per day within a supportive and welcoming educational setting.
Desired Qualifications & Experience:
Active and unrestricted LPN or LVN license in Ohio. Prior experience in a school or pediatric environment is highly valued. Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working with diverse student populations and faculty. Ability to remain calm and professional in a school setting, providing optimal care. A collaborative mindset and adaptability to evolving needs. Current CPR certification.
Responsibilities:
Provide daily nursing support and health services to designated students. Administer medications and treatments according to individualized healthcare plans. Monitor student health status and respond promptly to medical needs. Maintain accurate documentation and communicate with staff and families as necessary.
