This role is tailor-made for an LPN/LVN looking to make a real difference in the daily lives of students. You'll focus on delivering attentive, compassionate care during a key part of the school day, ensuring the health and safety of students as they participate in classroom and transportation routines. This position specifically serves a student with unique medical needs, requiring presence from approximately 11:30 AM to 2:50 PM (final schedule to be confirmed in coordination with the Special Education Department). What you'll bring: Active and valid LPN/LVN license in Ohio Experience in a school or pediatric setting preferred, but not required Knowledge of health care procedures for children and adolescents Skilled in assessment, medication administration, and emergency response Adaptable and collaborative approach to coordinate with educators and families Reliable and punctual, with a caring bedside manner Your key responsibilities: Attend to medical needs of a student during transportation and while in school Monitor vital signs and administer medications as directed Respond to emergencies according to individualized healthcare plans Keep organized and confidential health records Communicate regularly with school staff and family as necessary Support student participation in class, ensuring all medical accommodations are provided This contract role lets you impact a student's daily experience and well-being while gaining valuable school-based nursing experience.
