Job Description
Hours of Work
- 30-40hrs a week
- Mon 1pm-5pm, Tues 1pm-5pm, Weds 1pm-8pm, Thurs 1pm-4pm, Fri 8am-5pm, Saturdays 8am-12pm (Mon/Tues/Thurs 8-5pm or 8-4pm depending on staffing needs) Comprehensive Benefits Package

Demonstrates the skills and judgment necessary to implement care, nursing interventions and procedures necessary as the patient progresses through the perianesthesia phase of care in order to achieve optimal patient outcomes, under the direction of the RN. Maintains up to date and accurate documentation of nursing care provided to assure the integration of information for use by the health care team, in order to endure quality of care. Demonstrates knowledge for administering and recording of medications, can also demonstrate knowledge of commonly used medications: action, dose and side effects. Demonstrates routine assessments for PONV and implements appropriate rescue treatments. Able to perform a comprehensive pain assessment using appropriate pain scales and uses both pharmacological and non-pharmacological methods to control pain. Demonstrates knowledge in the care of the pediatric and geriatric population and their family/caregiver. Provides for the safe transfer of care with a communication handoff to the next phase of care. Functions as a role model for current and new staff. Maintains current knowledge/certification/licensure. Pursues professional growth and attends all required training programs. Associates or better in Nursing.
