Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team on a PRN (as-needed) basis. In this role, you will provide high-quality nursing care to diverse patient populations across various settings, including inpatient, outpatient, long-term care, and community health environments. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in patient assessment, medication administration, and clinical procedures, with the ability to adapt to different clinical contexts. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in patients' lives while working flexibly to meet organizational needs. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs and physical examinations, ensuring accurate documentation in electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner. Administer medications and injections safely and in accordance with established protocols, including IV infusions and catheter care. Assist with diagnostic evaluations, specimen collection, and processing, maintaining strict adherence to infection control standards. Support patients through procedures such as tube feeding, wound suturing, and sterile techniques using aseptic methods. Monitor patients' responses to treatments, manage acute pain, and escalate concerns promptly to supervising healthcare providers. Document all patient interactions thoroughly within medical records while complying with HIPAA regulations. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams across specialties such as geriatrics, emergency medicine, ICU, pediatrics, hospice care, and behavioral health to ensure comprehensive patient care. Participate in discharge planning and patient education efforts tailored to individual needs. Maintain competency in medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, and physiology relevant to diverse clinical scenarios. Demonstrate proficiency with EMR/EHR systems like Athenahealth or eClinicalWorks for accurate documentation and communication.

OH LPN License Covid Card BLS BCI Check using code 3721.121

$55.00 per hour
