Public Health Nurses (RN or LPN) - 2 Full-Time Positions The Clark County Combined Health District (CCCHD) is seeking compassionate and dedicated nurses to join our public health team. We are currently hiring for two full-time Public Health Nurse positions: Public Health Nurse - Immunization Clinic Focus Public Health Nurse - Reproductive Health & Wellness Focus These positions may be filled by either a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) licensed in the State of Ohio.

Compensation LPN Pay Range:
$17.51 - $24.53 per hour (Grade 17)
RN Pay Range:
$22.50 - $35.93 per hour (Grade 23) Benefits Eligible employees receive: Full-time insurance benefits (Health, Dental, Vision) Paid holidays (13 paid holidays) Vacation leave Sick leave Personal leave OPERS Deferred Compensation Programs Job Summary The Public Health Nurse (RN or LPN) provides essential clinical services including immunizations, reproductive health and wellness visits, health screenings, tuberculosis testing, and public health education while ensuring accurate documentation and high-quality client care. One position will primarily support the Immunization Clinic , while the second position will primarily support Reproductive Health & Wellness Services . Both positions may assist across additional public health clinics and programs as needed. Responsibilities include vaccine administration and management, health assessments, client education, coordination with community partners, adherence to public health regulations, and compliance with HIPAA and safety standards. Essential Functions Conduct client assessments and provide nursing care in clinic and community settings Administer vaccines in accordance with ACIP and Ohio Department of Health guidelines Perform health screenings, coordinate lab services, provide referrals, and support care planning Educate individuals, families, schools, and community groups on disease prevention and health promotion Maintain accurate electronic medical records and required documentation Support school health initiatives and public outreach activities Respond to client and provider inquiries and coordinate services with partner agencies Participate in ongoing training, staff meetings, and emergency preparedness activities Follow all HIPAA, OSHA, infection control, and bloodborne pathogen safety requirements Complete additional duties as assigned Employees may be required to report outside normal working hours during public health emergencies and must be available for consultation related to emergency response activities.
Education & Qualifications Required:
Current Ohio LPN or RN license Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Certificate, Diploma, Associate, or BSN) Current CPR certification Valid Ohio driver's license with acceptable driving record and insurance
Preferred:
Previous public health nursing experience Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Ideal candidates will demonstrate: Knowledge of immunizations, infection prevention, emergency care, and public health nursing practices Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills Ability to maintain confidentiality and detailed documentation Comfort working in clinics, schools, homes, and community settings Proficiency with Microsoft Office, electronic medical records, and web-based reporting systems Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently Physical Demands & Working Conditions This role requires frequent sitting, standing, walking, talking, reading, and writing in English. Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds and local travel within the community may be required.
