Detox & Behavioral Health Nurse Location:

Tiffin, Ohio About the Opportunity We are seeking a compassionate and clinically skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) to join our growing behavioral health team. This position plays a critical role in providing nursing care to individuals receiving treatment for substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions. The ideal candidate will have experience in detoxification services, behavioral health, addiction treatment, psychiatric care, or a related healthcare setting. This individual will work closely with the medical, clinical, and leadership teams to ensure safe, effective, and patient-centered care throughout the treatment process. Key Responsibilities Conduct nursing assessments, medical screenings, and ongoing monitoring of patient health status. Monitor patients for signs and symptoms of intoxication, withdrawal, and medical complications. Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and nursing standards. Obtain and document vital signs, medical histories, assessments, and patient progress. Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and multidisciplinary treatment teams to coordinate care. Provide patient education regarding medications, treatment plans, health concerns, and recovery support. Monitor and document medication effectiveness, side effects, and patient responses. Assist with laboratory testing, medication reconciliation, and coordination with pharmacies. Identify and report changes in patient condition in a timely manner. Maintain accurate and compliant documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR). Ensure adherence to state regulations, accreditation standards, and facility policies. Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and ongoing professional development. Qualifications Active Ohio LPN or RN license in good standing. Experience working in behavioral health, substance use disorder treatment, detoxification services, psychiatric care, or a related healthcare setting preferred. Strong assessment, documentation, and clinical decision-making skills. Knowledge of withdrawal management, medication administration, and patient monitoring preferred. Current CPR certification or ability to obtain upon hire. Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems and Microsoft Office applications. Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment. Preferred Qualifications Previous detox or residential treatment experience. Experience working with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders. BSN preferred for RN candidates.
