Job Description

About Us We are a small, patient-centered concierge internal and family medicine practice that values relationships, thorough care, and supportive environment for both patients and staff. We're looking for a reliable, independent, detail-oriented team member with the ability to multi-task. This is a hands-on role that combines clinical and administrative responsibilities. You'll work closely with our clinicians (physicians and nurse practitioners) to support excellent patient care and help keep the office running smoothly. Key Responsibilities Clinical Support Room patients and obtain vitals (weight, temperature, BP, SpO₂, pulse, basic vision screening. Prepare exam rooms and assist clinicians with exams and minor procedures, including chaperoning as needed. Perform wound care, suture or staple removal, and specimen collection; e.g., Pap smears, cultures. Process and label specimens for lab submission. Conduct phone and in-person triage within scope of training and experience. Call patients with lab or imaging results as directed by a clinician. Process medication refills and prior authorizations for medications, imaging or referrals. Place orders; medication, lab, imaging, and referrals as directed by the clinician. Maintain current and accurate patient records, including medication lists and allergies. Administrative Support Register and check-in patients, schedule appointments, and process cancellations or reschedules. Collect copays and patient balances. Manage incoming calls, messages, and faxes; routing or responding appropriately. Coordinate referrals, imaging, and lab appointments as directed by a clinician. Request, receive, and upload outside medical records. Maintain inventory and order clinical supplies as needed. Qualifications Certified Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, CCMA, or equivalent) or >3 years exp as a Medical Assistant in primary care or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN). Previous outpatient clinical experience strongly preferred Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking skills. Comfortable using EMR systems. Professional, compassionate, and dependable. Current BLS certification required. Schedule & Compensation Part Time to Full-time (Monday-Friday, no evenings or weekends). Salary commensurate with experience and credentials.
