Job Description

Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license and minimum 1+ years Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Make a difference every day by providing compassionate, specialized care as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) supporting a medically fragile student in a school setting. This rewarding contract position offers the opportunity to dedicate your expertise and empathy to one student, ensuring their health, safety, and participation during the school day.
Details:
Part-time schedule: 20 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 10am-2pm Contract runs ASAP through June 12th, with potential for renewal and extended school year (ESY) opportunities, to be discussed as the year progresses Work one-on-one with a student who requires close medical supervision and daily care
Desired Qualifications:
Current, unencumbered LPN or LVN license Previous pediatric or school-based nursing experience a plus, especially experience with medically fragile youth Strong clinical assessment, intervention, and documentation abilities Compassion, patience, and a collaborative mindset Reliable, punctual, and comfortable working independently CPR certification and up-to-date immunizations
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver daily medications, treatments, and complex care as prescribed Monitor for changes in the student's condition, quickly responding as needed Maintain accurate, confidential health documentation and communication with the care team Support the student's inclusion and safety in classroom and school activities Liaise with families, educators, and healthcare providers to ensure coordinated care Experience the satisfaction of building a meaningful bond through one-on-one care, while enjoying a steady, part-time weekday schedule that complements work-life balance.
