Meaningful Work Supporting Recovery and Community Health Position Summary The LPN/RN Outpatient Addiction Treatment Nurse works under the supervision of the Medical Director, Registered Nurse, and Program Director to provide nursing support and medication services for patients receiving treatment for substance use disorders. This role is ideal for nurses with experience in outpatient care, behavioral health, addiction medicine, ambulatory care, community health, primary care, medication administration, or patient services. Essential Responsibilities Administer medications in accordance with physician orders and established protocols. Support patients receiving Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) for opioid use disorder. Perform medication inventory counts and maintain accurate controlled substance records. Monitor patients and assess readiness for medication dosing. Obtain and document patient vital signs and other clinical information. Collect laboratory specimens and perform required testing, including TB screening as applicable. Maintain accurate and timely documentation in patient medical records and electronic health record systems. Coordinate care with physicians, nurses, and treatment team members. Verify patient dosing information with other treatment centers when necessary. Assist the Medical Director with patient histories, physicals, and clinical data collection. Ensure compliance with CARF standards, state regulations, and clinic policies. Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA guidelines. Support Front Office operations by answering phones, greeting patients, and assisting visitors as needed. Promote a welcoming, respectful, and recovery-focused treatment environment. Required Qualifications Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Oregon. Minimum one year of direct patient care, nursing, or clinical experience. Knowledge of medication administration, patient assessment, and nursing best practices. Strong communication and patient engagement skills. Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel. Ability to maintain accurate clinical documentation and medication records.
