Job Description

LPN Wellness Nurse (part time): $38-42/hr Juniper Canyon Living is looking for compassionate, hard-working and talented people to join our team. We are a 108-unit special contract residential care facility campus designed and staffed uniquely for residents who have failed placement elsewhere due to complex behaviors and/or medical needs. Juniper Canyon Living is looking for a part time/on-call LPN Wellness Nurse to work alongside our Director of Nursing to provide exceptional resident care. We are looking for clinicians who would like to combine their love for people and strong work ethic with the opportunities to advance their career.
Qualifications:
  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
  • Prefer 1 year nursing experience in behavioral health, outpatient treatment program, or addiction recovery field
  • There must be no history of alcohol or other drug misuse for a period of three years before employment
  • Current LPN license in the state of
Oregon Responsibilities:
  • LPNs provide high quality, safe and efficient dispensing of doses of medication to residents under the direction of the Director of Nursing and prescribing physician.
  • The LPN is responsible for thorough, accurate reporting and documentation of the residents' s symptoms, responses and progress
  • Works under the supervision of the Director of Nursing
  • Maintains practical nursing professional standards of care;
  • Prepares and administers medication as ordered by the prescribing physician accurately and in a timely manner;
  • Maintains accurate accounting of all medication received (from pharmacy) and dispensed (to the residents);
  • Charts medication administration in nurse's notes accurately and in a timely manner;
  • Documents nursing care provided, and maintains appropriate records related to resident's progress and activities accurately and in a timely manner;
  • Responsible for the safekeeping of all medication stock and the records required by the DEA, FDA, and ADP;
  • Dedicates a minimum of 90% of regularly scheduled work hours to activities directly related to the administration of medication; the remaining 10% will be dedicated to other activities as assigned.
