Oregon Urology Institute and Oregon SurgiCenter are one of the largest, most advanced urological centers in the Northwest. Oregon Urology Institute provides patients with some of the region's finest medical experts covering every major urological specialty using proven and leading-edge technologies. The LPN prepares patients for examination and treatment to provide therapeutic, effective patient/family-centered care to Surgery Center patients.
Duties:
Assists with admission documents including signing consent form, verifyingattaching nameallergy bracelets, vital signs, antibiotic administrationrooming patient. Prepares patients for examination and treatment. Takes patient histories and vital signs. Prepares exam rooms and instruments for examination and procedures including biopsies and cystoscopies. Assists physicians with procedures. Maintains patient confidentiality. Performs other duties as assigned. Prepareslogs in lab specimens. Removes dirty equipment from room and takes it to processing for cleaning. Wipes down room/bathroom with disinfectant solution. Sets up equipment for next procedure. Assist with clean up and restocking of supplies at end of day, patient follow up calls, and inputting times and lab orders in computer. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with all Center personnel and physicians.
Education:
Appropriate Medical Assistant certification. Graduation from an accredited MOA program required. Current healthcare level
BLS Experience:
2 years of Urology experience, preferred, though not required.
Position Requirements:
All candidates must pass a drug screen, reference, and background check to be considered for employment. Able to assist in a variety of treatments. Skilled in taking vital signs. Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with physicians, patients, and coworkers. Must be flexible and a quick learner. Must have the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

This is a Full-time position (40 hours/week). No nights, weekends, or on-call.
