Job Description

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Wing Supervisor Position Overview Seeking a compassionate and resident-focused Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to oversee daily nursing operations on an assigned unit while providing direct patient care. This role combines clinical nursing responsibilities with team leadership, ensuring high-quality care, regulatory compliance, and effective coordination among nursing staff. Key Responsibilities Administer and document medications, treatments, and resident monitoring. Accurately transcribe physician orders and maintain EMR documentation. Monitor resident conditions and promptly report significant changes. Update and maintain individualized care plans with measurable goals. Supervise Nursing Assistants and ensure care plans are properly implemented. Coordinate resident transfers, family communication, and required documentation. Assist physicians during rounds, examinations, and treatments. Collect and manage laboratory specimens and related documentation. Participate in quality assurance initiatives and regulatory compliance activities. Complete incident reports, monthly summaries, daily reports, and census updates. Monitor infection control practices and staff documentation accuracy. Assist with staff orientation, coaching, evaluations, and team conferences. Maintain medication security, including narcotic counts and drug disposal records. Provide direct resident care as needed and support CNAs on the unit. Promote resident engagement and maintain a safe, clean care environment. Required Qualifications Current Pennsylvania LPN License or proof of application for PA licensure at the time of interview. BLS Certification (AHA).
Knowledge of:
Medical asepsis and infection control Nursing theory and clinical application Body mechanics and resident care techniques Observation, documentation, and reporting procedures Proper use and maintenance of medical equipment Strong communication, leadership, and observation skills. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Commitment to professionalism, teamwork, and quality resident care. Ability to comply with facility policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Preferred Qualifications Nursing home or long-term care experience.
COVID-19

Physical Requirements Ability to perform nursing duties safely and efficiently. Good physical health and mental alertness. Knowledge of proper body mechanics.
