Job Description

Category Schools - LPN Nurse Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding school-based nursing assignment that offers the opportunity to directly support a student requiring compassionate attention and clinical expertise. This position is ideal for an LPN or RN eager to make a meaningful impact during both the summer session and the upcoming academic year. The assignment is conveniently located near Bethlehem, PA, and supports a female student who needs medical monitoring, including administration of rescue medication both in class and during transportation to and from school.
Qualifications & Preferred Experience:
Valid and current LPN or RN license in the state of Pennsylvania is required Previous experience in a school setting or working 1:1 with pediatric populations is highly valued Strong knowledge of rescue medication protocols and student health monitoring Willingness and ability to ride the bus with the student as part of daily responsibilities Excellent communication skills, adaptability, and a caring, patient-focused attitude
Key Responsibilities:
Provide vigilant health monitoring and support for a 1:1 female student, including medication administration and emergency intervention as needed Accompany the student on daily bus rides to ensure her safety and well-being Maintain detailed health records and collaborate regularly with school staff and the student's caregivers When the student is absent, flexibility to substitute in other rooms or settings within the school district
Schedule Details:
Approximately 30-37.5 hour workweeks, aligned with the district calendar and student attendance Summer Extended School Year (ESY): July 7th-July 30th, 2026
