Job Description

New Directions Healthcare is seeking a friendly, compassionate, and organized Dispensing LPN/RN to join our outpatient Drug and Alcohol facility in Erie, Pa. We are looking for someone who can work part-time or full-time, has the ability to start at 5:15 AM ET, and work some rotating weekends. The Dispensing LPN/RN works under the supervision of the Medical Director and the Program Director/Nurse Practitioner. This individual maintains professional standards and follows the treatment policies of the organization and Federal and State Laws and Regulations. The Dispensing LPN/RN is required to administer Methadone as ordered by the Medical Director and to maintain accurate accounting of all medication received (from supplier) and dispensed (to the patient). The Dispensing LPN/RN is responsible for the safekeeping of all medication stock and the records required by the DEA, SAMHSA, and State DDAP. The Dispensing LPN/RN will dedicate a minimum of 90 percent of regularly scheduled work hours to activities directly related to the administration of Methadone. The remaining 10 percent of regularly scheduled work hours will be dedicated to other activities as assigned by the Medical Director or Program Director, such as completing drug and alcohol assessments and nursing assessments. The Dispensing LPN/RN may be responsible for urine collection and processing, reading test results as ordered by Program Physicians and the completion of all forms involved in these procedures. Participates in Performance Quality Improvement. This individual will be responsible for assisting in the intake of new patients. The Dispensing LPN/RN will also be utilized to work in the Vivitrol Clinic and administer injections.
Qualifications:
Graduation from an accredited nursing program. The Dispensing LPN/RN will be a licensed LPN or RN in the State of Pennsylvania. The Dispensing LPN/RN will have had training or experience treating patients with an opiate addiction. There is no history of alcohol or other drug misuse for a period of three years before employment as a Dispensing LPN/RN. Must have ACT 33/34 and
ACT 73 FBI
Clearances. Must also have current BLS.
Requirements:
Must be dependable, motivated, and proficient in the use of computers. Licensed LPN or RN in the State of Pennsylvania.

From $28.00 per hour
