Job Description

Category Schools - LPN Nurse Job Type Contract Make a meaningful difference in a student's life while working in a supportive educational environment. This contract opportunity is ideal for an LPN or RN seeking an engaging, school-based assignment providing individualized care. Support a female student who requires close monitoring, including rescue medication administration both in the classroom and during transportation—bus riding is an essential aspect of daily responsibilities. Your commitment will extend through both summer school and the upcoming academic year, working approximately 30-37.5 hours per week (dependent upon the district calendar and student attendance). If your assigned student is absent, you will have the opportunity to substitute in other rooms, expanding your school nursing experience.
Qualifications:
Current, unrestricted LPN or RN license in Pennsylvania Prior experience with 1:1 care or in a school setting preferred Comfortable administering rescue medications and monitoring health status Ability to accompany student on bus rides to and from school Strong communication and collaborative skills with students, staff, and parents
Responsibilities:
Provide vigilant 1:1 nursing care and health monitoring for your assigned student Administer medications as prescribed and respond to health emergencies if needed Maintain accurate records of care, medication administration, and observations Support classroom inclusion and foster a safe learning environment Substitute for absent colleagues as needed Communicate frequently with educators and healthcare professionals regarding the student's needs Enjoy a dynamic school-based role where your skills and compassion truly make an impact.
