Schedule Options Per Diem Part-Time Full-Time Opportunities to support school field trips Position Overview The Substitute School Nurse promotes student health and safety by delivering professional nursing care within the school setting. This role supports students, faculty, and staff to ensure a healthy and productive educational environment. Key Responsibilities Direct Nursing Care

• Provide care to students and staff who visit the health office for minor injuries, illnesses, and medication administration. Health Assessments & Screenings
• Conduct assessments and screenings to identify health issues, providing appropriate interventions or referrals as necessary. Record Maintenance
• Maintain accurate and confidential health records for all students, including immunization records, health history, and medication logs. Collaboration
• Work with school administrators, teachers, and parents to develop and implement health policies and procedures to ensure a safe and healthy school environment. Health Education
• Educate students, staff, and parents on health topics like nutrition, hygiene, and disease prevention. Qualifications Active Pennsylvania RN or LPN License (Required) Current CPR Certification Minimum of one (1) year of professional nursing experience preferred PA Department of Education clearances required Fingerprints clearance
