Shift Hours:

Float Position - 8 hour shifts. Floater can work up to two different shifts in a two week period. Every other weekend off. Must expect to work major holidays. Why Join Our Correctional Nursing Team? Minimum Qualifications Current, unrestricted Pennsylvania LPN license or eligibility to sit for the PA LPN licensing exam Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program Proficient in written and spoken English Competent with computers, Microsoft Office, and Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems Ability to provide verifiable education, training, and work history Role Responsibilities Deliver direct patient care to incarcerated individuals under the supervision of an RN or physician Administer prescribed medications and treatments according to facility protocols Monitor patient status, document care accurately in the EMR, and report changes to supervising staff Respond promptly to medical emergencies and provide first aid as needed Assist with daily living activities, including hygiene, mobility, and nutrition for inmates Collect and record vital signs, maintain accurate medical records, and ensure compliance with correctional health regulations Promote a safe, respectful, and secure environment for inmates and staff Communicate effectively with correctional staff, inmates, and healthcare team members Physical and Technical Requirements Ability to perform routine physical tasks, including lifting, assisting with patient mobility, and standing for extended periods Strong communication, teamwork, and safety awareness skills Competency in using EMR systems and technology relevant to correctional healthcare Additional Requirements Flexibility to work overtime, holiday shifts, and various schedules as needed Willingness to complete ongoing training specific to correctional nursing practices Ready to Make a Difference?
