Schedule:

Float position: 8-hour shifts across multiple shifts. Every other weekend off. Must work major holidays. Minimum Qualifications Current PA License for Practical Nurse, or eligibility to sit for the Practical Nurse Licensure Examination Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office Ability to enter health data into electronic medical records Responsibilities Provide practical nursing care and treatment for inmates and detainees in a Commonwealth correctional facility Implement nursing care plans; prepare, administer, and record medications and treatments prescribed by physicians Observe and report changes in physical and emotional behavior of patients Take and record vital signs, collect specimens, maintain progress notes and administrative reports May hold charge responsibility for a care area, overseeing unlicensed personnel and maintaining treatment regimens Required competencies: IV therapy, heparin lock insertion, medication administration (all routes), dose calculations, venipuncture, tuberculin testing, wound care, EKG, glucometer, ostomy care, nebulizer treatment, nasogastric/gastrostomy tube management, blood pressure monitoring

Pay:

$40.00 - $45.00 per hour
