JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE
Provides safe and high-quality nursing care under the direction of a Registered Nurse and Clinician. Assists and performs advanced modalities such as negative pressure wound therapy, compression therapy and post-debridement care. Maintains an accurate patient electronic medical record, assists with non-invasive and invasive departmental procedures and associated care coordination.
DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION
Samaritan Wound Care treats acute or chronic wounds caused by diabetes, surgery, injury, poor blood flow and/or other problems. The scope of practice is physician driven and centered around wound, ostomy and continence care while maintaining additional adjunctive therapies such as vein medicine and hyperbaric medicine.
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS
Current unencumbered Oregon Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) licensure required. Healthcare Provider BLS required. Related certification in Wound Care preferred. Previous experience in a clinical setting preferred. Wound Care experience preferred.
