Category Schools - LPN Nurse Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding opportunity working as a Licensed Practical Nurse supporting an elementary student in a school-based setting near Pawtucket, RI. This contracted, full-time position plays a crucial role in both the Extended School Year (ESY) and New School Year (NSY), providing essential 1:1 care for a young learner in a nurturing environment. During ESY, you'll work from July 6, 2026, through July 30, 2026, Monday through Thursday, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. After this summer session, your journey with the student continues as the new school year kicks off on August 26, 2026. With guaranteed hours and pay, this role offers stability and predictability throughout the term of your assignment.
Desired Qualifications:
Active LPN/LVN license in Rhode Island Experience working in pediatric or school settings preferred Ability to work independently and tailor care to meet the student's individual needs Strong communication skills for collaborating with teachers, parents, and school staff Compassion, patience, and adaptability in dynamic classroom environments
Responsibilities Include:
Providing direct 1:1 nursing care to an elementary student, ensuring safety and well-being during school hours Supporting the student's daily health needs, medication administration, and any necessary medical interventions Maintaining clear, accurate documentation and communicating updates to school personnel and the student's family Partnering with educational staff to promote a positive, inclusive, and health-conscious setting Upholding all school, state, and nursing regulations and protocols Enjoy the assurance of consistent hours and pay throughout your assignment as a vital member of the student's educational experience.
