Job Description

Category Schools - LPN Nurse Job Type Contract Make a meaningful difference each day as a skilled LPN providing specialized 1:1 care for an elementary student in a dynamic school setting near Providence, RI. This contract opportunity offers both ESY (Extended School Year) and NSY (New School Year) placements, allowing you to create lasting impact and consistency in your student's health and wellbeing.
Key Qualifications:
Active LPN/LVN license in Rhode Island, or eligible for reciprocity. Previous experience in a school setting or pediatric care preferred. Ability to work independently and maintain composure in a classroom environment. Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with educators, families, and medical professionals. Organized, compassionate, and dedicated to supporting students' unique health needs.
Role Responsibilities:
Deliver direct, 1:1 nursing care to an elementary student throughout the school day. Administer medications and manage medical interventions as prescribed. Document care and update health records in accordance with school and nursing guidelines. Communicate progress or concerns with the educational team and family. Support the student's participation in daily classroom activities, ensuring a safe environment.
Position Details:
Summer (ESY): July 6, 2026 - July 30, 2026; Monday to Thursday, 11:00am - 1:00pm. School Year (NSY): Starts August 26, 2026; full-time schedule. Enjoy guaranteed hours and guaranteed pay.
