Job Description

Category Schools - LPN Nurse Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity dedicated to supporting the health and well-being of students in an educational environment. This role provides the chance to make a meaningful impact as an LPN/LVN, working 1:1 with an elementary-aged child both during the Extended School Year (ESY) and the upcoming school year (NSY). The ESY schedule runs from July 6th to July 30th, 2026, Monday through Thursday, 11:00am-1:00pm, with guaranteed hours and pay. The position transitions smoothly into a full-time assignment for the new school year starting August 26th, 2026. Candidates with strong pediatric and school nursing backgrounds will excel in this position, fostering a supportive, safe environment for student success.
Desired Qualifications:
Active and unrestricted LPN/LVN license Previous experience as a school nurse or working with children in educational settings Familiarity with supporting students who require 1:1 medical care Ability to communicate effectively with parents, educators, and healthcare teams Compassionate, patient, and attentive to student needs Current CPR certification
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver direct 1:1 nursing care to an elementary student, following individualized care plans Monitor, document, and report any changes in the student's condition Administer medications and provide treatments as prescribed Foster a nurturing, safe, and inclusive environment Collaborate closely with the educational and clinical teams to ensure seamless care Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with school health policies You'll enjoy guaranteed hours and pay, along with the fulfillment of making a significant difference in a child's educational journey.
