We are currently seeking a compassionate, creative Director of Memory Care to join our team at Barclay House of Aiken . This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about enriching the lives of memory-impaired residents through thoughtful programming, individualized engagement, and empathetic leadership. Why You'll Love Working With Us Competitive pay Excellent benefits package Supportive, team-oriented work environment A purpose-driven role where your dedication supports residents' emotional, cognitive, and social well-being Opportunities for professional growth in a rapidly expanding organization Primary Responsibilities of the Director of Memory Care Provide input and creative ideas for the annual activities theme and calendar for the Memory Care neighborhood Oversee and implement the Memory Care activity calendar on a daily basis Coordinate quarterly events in collaboration with the dietary, marketing, wellness, and maintenance departments Work with the Director of Wellness to ensure adequate staffing for special events, outings, holiday meals, and themed experiences Develop a monthly Memory Care calendar offering daily opportunities for socialization, recreation, and engagement—including weekends Maintain accurate documentation of each resident's participation, scores, and progress Create individualized resident profiles within the iN2L system and train personal assistants on how to use these profiles to enhance engagement Ensure each resident's Memory Care Program is set up at time of admission and conduct follow-up with residents and families Assist new residents with orientation, helping them adjust to their routines and environment Develop thoughtful seating plans for new residents that encourage socialization with peers who share similar interests and communication abilities Requirements Education & Experience A caring heart and a genuine desire to serve memory impaired seniors LPN certification required Minimum of 2 years' experience working with seniors, preferably in memory care, long-term care, or healthcare settings High School Diploma or GED required Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Publisher for calendar creation Must have and maintain a safe driving record Skills in building life stations, craft planning, design, creativity, and innovative activity development are required QSL Management is an Equal Opportunity Employer / Protected Veterans / Individuals with Disabilities.
