Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) and make a meaningful impact on the lives of patients every day! In this role, you will provide essential nursing care under the supervision of registered nurses and physicians, ensuring that each patient receives the highest quality of care. Your compassionate approach and clinical skills will be vital in creating a supportive environment for patients and their families. What you'll do Deliver direct patient care, including administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and assisting with daily living activities. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans tailored to each patient's needs. Conduct thorough patient assessments to identify health issues and report findings to the supervising nurse. Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations and facility policies. Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding health management and treatment plans. Assist in various medical procedures, including IV insertion, catheter care, and specimen collection. Participate in discharge planning to ensure smooth transitions for patients moving from one level of care to another. Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance your nursing skills and stay current with best practices. Basic qualifications Valid LPN license in the state of practice. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and pharmacology. Preferred qualifications Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems such as Epic or Cerner. Background in critical care or acute care settings, including ICU or emergency room experience. Familiarity with long-term care, assisted living facilities, or hospice care environments. Skills in triage, pain management, and working with patients who have developmental disabilities or dementia-related conditions. Proficiency in performing phlebotomy, administering injections, and conducting physical examinations.
